A NOTE TO READERS
Next week, The Globe and Mail will launch Globe Unlimited, a new digital subscription service for our website and mobile apps. At the same time, we'll be making some exciting changes to Report on Business, Canada's leading source for business and financial news.
Among the new features will be Report on Business Insight, an online commentary section that will dive into the biggest business and economic stories of the day. ROB Insight will deliver timely views from some of the sharpest minds in our newsroom, including Eric Reguly and former Bay Street strategist Scott Barlow, as well as the Lex column from the Financial Times and Reuters BreakingViews.
We're also beefing up Streetwise, the ROB's popular home for news and analysis on the world of finance. We're giving it a new look to make navigation easier for readers, and are expanding coverage with our outstanding team of financial reporters and columnists, led by Boyd Erman.
ROB Insight and Streetwise will be available only to subscribers of Globe Unlimited, beginning Oct. 22. And we're adding other new features for them as well.
For years, Globe readers have relied on our Watchlist tool to follow their investments. Starting next week, Globe Unlimited subscribers will be able to receive customized price alerts on securities they are following - and they'll be able to track news as it happens for their favourite companies, using a powerful online tool we're calling the Dashboard.
If you subscribe to the newspaper on five- or six-day delivery, or you pay for GlobeInvestor Gold or GlobePlus, our new digital service is free. If you subscribe to the weekend paper only, you can enjoy Globe Unlimited for a sizable discount off the regular price.
Regardless of how you decide to read The Globe - in print, on a computer or on a mobile device - you can expect the best coverage of Canadian business news from the ROB. And we will continue to provide unlimited access to Watchlist and unlimited stock quotes to all users of globeandmail.com at no charge.
Thank you for your continued support of our journalism. You can find more information about Globe Unlimited, including videos explaining how some of the new features work, at globeandmail.com/aboutunlimited.
