Standard report
The Standard Report is displayed by default and combines elements from the Short-term
and Long-term Reports. All returns greater than one year are calculated as annual compound
returns.
Statistics show the return of the fund for the given time period and do not reflect the
effects of sales charges or taxes. Management Expense Ratio (MER) is deducted from the
prices that fund companies report, provided that the fund, or fund company, is a member of
the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). For these funds, MER has been accounted
for in the returns shown in reports and charts.
- Price $:
Depending on the time of day, the price shown for a fund is the price at the
close of the current or previous business day. If a date appears after the
fund name (in mm/dd format), the price listed in the report is the price at
the close of that date. While most funds are valued and report data on a daily
basis, some funds report weekly, monthly or quarterly. Prices are updated at
approximately 7 p.m. EST.
- 30 day %: The
percent change in the fund price since the close of business 30 calendar days
prior to the date on the report. If the day 30 days prior is a weekend or
holiday, the price for the previous business day is used to calculate the
change.
- Incep: The inception
date (in mm/yy format) for this fund.

Quartile rankings are a measure of how well a fund has performed against all other
funds in its asset class over a one-year period. Mutual funds with the highest percent
returns (top 25%) are assigned to a quartile of 1, whereas those with the worst returns
(bottom 25%) are assigned a quartile of 4.
Note: The ranking of a fund may change for the following reason. When
funds with historical performance data are added to our site, the quartile rankings are
recalculated to take into account the performance history of the new funds. The addition
of the new funds may change the ranking of funds presently on the site.
