About Adding Stocks: Use this page to add a new stock to your portfolio. After
adding the stock to your portfolio, you will be prompted to enter the number of shares you
hold. A list of the stocks already added to your portfolio appears in the grey box at the
bottom of the page.
To add a new stock to your portfolio, follow these steps.
- Enter the symbol of the stock you wish to track and its exchange code (for example,
BCE-T, BCE-N). Valid exchanges codes are: T-Toronto, M-Montreal, X-Canadian Venture,
D-CDN, N-New York, A-American, Q-NASDAQ, Q2-Nasdaq-OTC. You can add multiple stocks at
once, separated by a space.
- Click the down arrow below Short Sell to indicate whether you would like to be
able to short this stock (Yes or No).
- If the stock is delisted, you must also enter the purchase date in YYYY MM DD format.
- Optionally, you can enter comments related to this stock.
- Click Add Stock(s). GlobeAdvisor will confirm the addition of this stock to your
portfolio and will prompt you to enter the number of units you own.
