About Change Portfolio Information: This option lets you to rename and delete
portfolios, enable and disable the Cash Balance feature and specify a default report for
each portfolio.
- To delete a portfolio, click the Delete box beside the portfolio's
name.
- To rename a portfolio, edit its name in the Portfolio Name box.
- To associate an asset allocation profile (if any exists for this
client), select it from the pulldown box.
- To enable or disable a cash balance,
select Yes or No from the Use Cash Balance pulldown box.
Note: When the cash balance is enabled, the cash balance will be
adjusted for all buys and sells that you record with a transaction date after the current
date. Buys and sells prior to this date will not affect the cash balance. Your cash
balance is automatically adjusted each time you record a buy or sell.Your cash balance
will be shown at the bottom of the portfolio reports.
- To specify a particular report type which will appear by default whenever
you call up a report for this portfolio, select it from the Select Report pulldown box.
Note: All other report types will still be available from the tabs on the
reports screen.
Click Update. A summary of the changes you made appears.
If you selected Delete, a warning massage appears asking you to
confirm the deletion.
If you enabled a cash balance, a message appears informing you that
two cash balances have been created, for Canadian and US currency. You can now record your
initial cash balance and any future cash transfers by clicking Cash Balance - Transfer Cash In/Out on the Portfolio Menu.
