About View/Edit/Delete Transactions: The View/Edit/Delete Transactions page shows a list of all mutual fund-related transactions you have added to GlobeAdvisor as well as all the transactions that GlobeAdvisor has generated (for example, distributions and recurring transactions).

View transactions
To limit the report to the transactions for a particular fund, select the fund of interest from the drop-down list beside Select and click Go.

For each transaction, GlobeAdvisor displays the following information:

Fund name: Name of the mutual fund.

Date: Date of the transaction.

Price

Unit price of the fund on the date of the transaction.

Action

The action associated with a transaction could be any of the following. The first four actions (Buy and Sell) are associated with transactions you have entered manually, while the last five actions relate to transactions that GlobeAdvisor has generated in response to fund distributions or recurring transactions.

BUY - a buy transaction that you entered

SELL - a sell transaction that you entered

FEE_ACCOUNT - a special transaction that you entered to pay for a fee, using fund units

FEE_CASH - a special transaction that you entered to pay for a fee, using outside cash

DIST_CASH - a distribution transaction that resulted in a cash payment to you (you indicated when adding the fund to your portfolio that distributions by this fund are not to be re-invested but should be paid to you in cash)

DIST_BUY - a distribution transaction that resulted in a purchase of additional units of the fund (you indicated when adding the fund to your portfolio that distributions by this fund are to be re-invested by purchasing additional units)

RECUR_BUY - a buy transaction generated by GlobeAdvisor in response to a recurring transaction you entered

RECUR_SELL - a sell transaction generated by GlobeAdvisor in response to a recurring transaction you entered

SPLIT - an adjustment by the mutual fund company of the number of units held in a fund, this may occur when one mutual fund merges with another

Units

Number of fund units involved in the transaction.

Amount

Total dollar amount involved in the transaction.

Fee

Dollar amount of any fees associated with the transaction.

Total Units

After completion of the transaction, the total number of units held for that fund.

Avg Cost

Average cost is the average cost/unit of the units that you own. It is the total cost for these units divided by the total number of units you own. Average cost is not affected by the sale of a portion of the funds you own, but it is affected by the purchase additional funds, including those that may have been purchased as the result of fund distributions.

The value shown as Average Cost is the Adjusted Cost Base (ACB) per unit, which is used mainly for taxation purposes. However, GlobeAdvisor is not an accounting system and you should rely on statements from the fund companies for completing any tax returns or making any decisions on tax owing.

Edit transactions

To edit a transaction, follow the instructions below.

• The View/Edit/Delete page shows list of the transactions for your portfolio starting with the most recent. To edit a transaction, click Edit in the row for the transaction you wish to edit. If Edit does not appear for that transaction, the transaction cannot be edited. Recurring transactions and splits cannot be edited.
• GlobeAdvisor shows your transaction. Click in any of the fields and make the desired changes.
• Click Update. The Confirmation screen will be shown.
• If the details are correct, click Add to my portfolio. If you need to make a change or correction, click your Web browser's Back button.

Delete transactions

Deleting a transaction should be something you do very infrequently. Once a transaction is deleted, you cannot display or access it again. Splits cannot be deleted. To delete transaction, follow these steps:

1. The View/Edit/Delete page contains a list of the transactions for your portfolio starting with the most recent. If you have a lot of transactions and want to limit the display to only transactions for a particular fund, click the arrow beside Select to get the pull-down list of funds in your portfolio. Select the fund of interest and click Go.
2. Click in the Del column beside any transaction(s) you want to delete. This will display a check mark in the small box.
3. Click Delete Transaction. GlobeAdvisor re-displays the screen without the transaction(s) you deleted.
